We all remember singing along with Tina Turner when she sang “What’s Love Got To Do With It.” Everyone will always remember her powerful voice. The well-known singer who has had many hits has had a busy life. And has had some health problems more lately…
Tina Turner is a famous singer who is loved by many and known for her strong voice. In recent years, the megastar has slowed down because of health and emotional issues. Erwin Bach, her husband, has always been there for her, though.
But things weren’t always that way. Tina Turner’s last name comes from Ike Turner, who was her first husband. Tina and Ike met at a bar in Manhattan, and since then, they hardly ever spent time apart.

At first, the two of them made music together, but soon their friendship grew closer. In 1962, Tina and Ike got married in Tijuana, Mexico. This was a few years after they first met.
From the outside, their marriage looked great, but on the inside, it was falling apart. Tina wrote about the violent marriage years later in her book “My Love Story.” The abuse was both physical and verbal. She talked about Ike’s personality and how he would beat Tina up if he thought she had insulted him in any way.
The abuse went on for years, until Tina decided she had enough in 1976 and broke up with Ike. After two years, she gave him a legal divorce.
After this, the megastar decided she didn’t want to date anyone else. Until she ran into Erwin Bach by chance.
Tina met Erwin when his company sent him to the airport to pick her up. Tina was about to go on stage in Germany when she met her now-husband, who was a 30-year-old music producer for EMI at the time.

Tina remembered that she liked him right away. She told him, “He had the most beautiful face.” It was impossible to miss. My heart skipped a beat. It means a soul has come together. I had shaky hands. Roger told me, “Tina, you’re going to ride with Erwin.” I wanted to say, “Yay!”
She told her that she had doubts, saying that relationships never end well. But she didn’t care about any of that and instead focused on getting to know Erwin better.
Erwin agreed to Tina’s offer to come visit her in the U.S. When Tina and Erwin met in Tina’s country, Tina was sure that Erwin was the one. The singer really liked how casual and laid-back he was. Even now, they are still very much in love. Erwin told the press, “It’s all about love. It’s something we both want for each other. I always call it a charge of electricity. It’s still mine. I still feel the same way I did when I left her two hours ago. I really feel it. This makes me feel very good.”
Erwin chose to ask Tina to marry him on her 50th birthday. He was sure that she would say yes, so he was surprised when she turned him down and said that she had a bad experience with marriage.
Tina said later, “I said, ‘I don’t know what to say.'” It was neither yes nor no. Marriage shows who owns what. I didn’t want anything to do with that’my’ anymore. I’m done with that.”
But Erwin and Tina’s love did not change, and they kept living together. Erwin’s steady commitment finally persuaded the singer to try marriage again, and nearly 30 years after the first time he asked, she said yes.
The wedding took place at the couple’s fancy Swiss home. People like Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King were among the famous people who came to the wedding.
Tina wore a beautiful Giorgio Armani dress that had Swarovski crystals on it. Tina was very happy with how the event turned out and said that it was exactly what she had hoped for.
The couple lives in their beautiful home in the town of Kuesnacht, which is near Zurich. The property looks out over Lake Zurich and is said to make people feel like they are in a palace.
Since Tina stopped acting in 2009, she has lived full-time in her Swiss home, away from the public eye. When she became a Swiss citizen, the singer even gave up her American passport.
Turner says it’s great to live in Switzerland and that she is well known in Europe. In an interview, she said, “I’m as famous in Europe as Madonna. I’m as famous as the Rolling Stones in some places.”
Tina’s life was finally getting better when she got some terrible news about her health. In 2016, Tina was told that she had cancer in her kidneys. Her choices were regular dialysis or getting a new kidney. The second option would give her a chance at a life that was close to normal, but kidney donors were harder to find.
But Erwin stepped in and helped her. Her husband gave up everything for the woman he loved.
“He said that he didn’t want another woman or another life. He then surprised me. She said, “He told me he wanted to give me one of his kidneys.
Erwin’s effort helped Tina’s health get better. And just as things started to get better again, her life took another sad turn.
Craig Turner, Tina Turner’s first child, died. He was Tina’s son from a relationship she had before she met Ike, but Ike Turner officially adopted him.
Craig Turner was found dead from a gunshot wound he had given himself. Tina was very sad when her child died in a terrible way. But Bach stayed by Tina’s side and was her rock through it all.
Turner said that the two of them were still very much in love with each other. She shared a picture of the couple holding hands with the caption, “Erwin and I have been together for over 30 years, and he still writes me love letters – isn’t that romantic?”
The love between Tina Turner and Erwin Bach shows that true love can really win over everything. The two have been there for each other through good times and bad.
