A big part of being a good parent is teaching your kids the real morals that help keep the world a good place.
Because of this, most parents feel very proud when they see their child making a good difference in the life of someone else. That much is certain, and it’s easy to see why Claire’s parents felt that way.
Claire’s parents are both deaf, but that hasn’t stopped Claire and her younger sister from being able to talk to them. Claire has been skilled in American sign language since she was a young child. This has made it easier for her parents to talk to each other.
This year, Claire’s school was getting ready for its yearly Christmas show. Each student had to sing a song in front of the audience.
But here is where the trouble starts. Both of Claire’s parents have trouble hearing, so she knew it would be a shame if they couldn’t enjoy the Christmas show as much as they could have. So, after thinking about it, she decided that what was going on should be put into sign language.
Claire sang with her hands in addition to singing with her hands. Her parents were both shocked and happy, and it was a moment they will always remember.
For someone as young as Claire to do something so nice for Christmas, especially when it comes from someone else, is certainly something special.
