The Strange Friendship That Led to Melissa McCarthy’s Happily Ever After

Melissa McCarthy is a well-known actress in Hollywood, and Ben Falcone is an actor and director. They have been together for 24 years and are very happy. The two talented people enjoy making movies, writing screenplays, and running a production business together. The most important thing about their relationship is that they always support each other and want to spend as much time together as possible.

Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone met at a party when Melissa was in college, and Ben was still in high school. Falcone was scared of McCarthy’s “very, very goth” look. She wore a black cape and had blue hair, making her look “very, very goth.” So, they didn’t talk to each other. But fate brought them back together ten years later at a school in Los Angeles called The Groundlings. McCarthy remembers that they became close friends right away. “We were friends from, like, day one,” the actor says.

In an episode of the hit TV show Gilmore Girls from 2003, Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone were both on screen at the same time. Even though no one knows exactly when their romance started, they married in 2005.

Falcone thinks that he and McCarthy are lucky to have each other. He says, “We both got hit with the same lucky stick. We were on the same page from the first time we talked. We love and value each other and try not to worry about the little things. And we laugh with each other.”

In January 2007, the star said they would have their first child. She joked that she hoped the baby would have more of Ben’s calm qualities and less of her worried ones. In May of that year, they had a girl named Vivian. McCarthy says that Vivian looks a lot like her. After three years, they had Georgette, their second daughter.

The 39-year-old star told her husband after the birth of their second child that she had been so tired during her pregnancy. She said she only slept 3.5 to 4 hours a day, which was very hard for her. “I’m really fat and fatigued. My husband says that when I stop talking in the middle of a speech, it’s like he’s married to a 90-year-old. He says, “You were in the middle of a thought, and then you stopped talking.” When I turn around, you’re sleeping soundly on the couch.'”

Melissa and Ben had problems as parents but didn’t give up on their acting jobs. They were both in the 2011 comedy Bridesmaids. McCarthy’s work in the movie got her an Oscar nod, but she ultimately lost to Octavia Spencer.

Melissa and Ben started a production company together in 2013. This was a new project for them. They wrote the story for the movie Tammy the following year. Melissa was glad they decided to do this. “We’ve been writing together longer than we’ve been married,” she said. It’s a dream come true to make our work and other people’s work that we care so much about.

Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone are always there for each other. Being a Dad Is Weird: Lessons in Fatherhood from My Family to Yours was written by Falcone in 2017, and McCarthy wrote the book’s opening.

The couple likes to do projects together and work well together. When asked about working on projects with her husband, McCarthy said, “It’s like getting to work with your best friend.”

Melissa and Ben have been together for a long time but still find new ways to surprise each other. McCarthy gave Falcone a heart-shaped box full of deviled eggs for Valentine’s Day because she knew he liked them more than sweets.

And for their 13th wedding anniversary, Melissa gave her husband a cell phone with big buttons that were made for seniors. Their children were horrified. Still, the couple continues to enjoy making each other laugh and making their relationship happy. “He gave me two beautiful rings and one of them said ‘Love.'” And I gave him a phone made by Jitterbug. Melissa said, “I need to work on my romantic skills.”

The couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in 2020. Just before the event, Melissa said in an interview that meeting her husband was like winning the lottery, saying, “I hit the jackpot.” She also said that making each other laugh is a key part of a strong friendship. “He makes me gut-laugh, like crazy gut-laugh, 4 or 5 times a day,” she said.

Ben Falcone agrees with his wife that fun can make a big difference and says the same thing. “Just by being herself, Melissa makes everything fun. I’m so lucky to be married to someone smart, kind, beautiful, and hilarious.
